Events go virtual!

Simon Wilson, facilitated the first pilot sessions of Eventcast, an online events system that provides organisations with the opportunity to organise events with the interactive and participative features usually associated with face to face meetings virtually. Eventcast enables online delegates to use interactive technology to feed responses back into an event for instant display and analysis by the facilitator, presenters and audience.  It has been developed with event management agency Glasgows; filming and broadcast agency, IndiVisual; and interactive technology specialists, Event Technologies.  

Wilson Sherriff director Simon Wilson says using the system can bring “huge cost reductions in delegate travel, venue hire, catering and production while retaining interaction and participation for the audience”.

The system combines live camera, synchronised presentation slides, live questions/chat and audience interaction all on one web page, facilitating additional delegate participation online. The launch of Eventcast made the August edition of Conference News
