Small Business SHAPING BIG SOCIETY
Small Business SHAPING THE BIG SOCIETY virtual summit is one of our series of national and international virtual summits.
A FREE virtual event run by small business for small business during Global Enterpreneurship Week, 14 - 18 November 2011 – you can sign up at www.bigsocietysmallbusiness.co.uk
Vince Cable opens Summit
The Summit was opened by the Business Secretary, Vince Cable talking about growth and how small businesses can contribute to, and benefit from, economic and employment growth. Other national speakers include Andrew Cave from the Federation of Small Businesses and Professor Dame Carol Black the UK National Director for Health and Well-being.
Small businesses learning from other small businesses
During the week, you will be able to listen to other small business owners and social entrepreneurs talking about how they have managed to grow their business and support a range of different social, entrepreneurial and environmental activities.
Benefits for your business
Participation is free but its value is enormous - access to high quality advice, support and experience from other small business owners and advisors.
It is a virtual summit so that it does not involve the time and expense of attending a face to face summit. You can take part from your office, home or on the move.
Designed by Small Business for Small Business
Wilson Sherriff organised and hosts the Summit. We have designed the Summit to be run by small business for small business so that you can benefit from real life experience of how to grow and thrive in the current climate. We are grateful to the Federation of Small Businesses, Business in the Community and Social Enterprise UK for helping us promote the Summit.
