Carol Sheriff, Director
Carol Sherriff is director of Wilson Sherriff and responsible for the organisation’s research and consultation services and its learning and development programme. Internally she heads up the organisation’s strategic and business development function. Carol is an experienced director, facilitator and learning team coach. She has worked at senior executive and non-executive level in the public, private and voluntary sectors. Her particular expertise is around the design and implementation of processes that involve groups such as managers, staff, customers, suppliers, partners and the public working together on issues that are important to them and on which they may hold very different views and interests.
Carol is a Certified Professional Facilitator and Assessor of Facilitators and has an MSc in Psychology and an MBA. She is a certified trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Hypnotherapy. She is a leading expert on combining purposeful outcome focused processes with intuitive and innovative approaches to group development. Together with Simon Wilson, she has authored, presented and trained on these techniques in the UK, Europe, North America, Asia and New Zealand. Outside Wilson Sherriff, she is a global Board member of the International Association of Facilitations, an associate lecturer with two Business Schools, and a Trustee of a local not-for-profit organisation.
Carol is the learning facilitator for the Stand Calm in the Storm workshops and The Art and Science of Facilitation.
Simon Wilson, Director
Simon is Director of Wilson Sherriff and responsible for the organisation’s facilitation and event services. Internally he heads up our finance function. Simon is experienced in facilitating groups of all types and sizes. both face to face and online. He has also managed substantial projects for Wilson Sherriff, bringing together elements of qualitative and quantitative research and supporting clients to achieve results on complex issues. Our clients praise Simon’s professionalism, flexibility and humour.
He is a Certified Professional Facilitator and holds BA and MBA degrees. He has experience of working across the public, private and voluntary sectors and in international organisations. Outside Wilson Sherriff, Simon has chaired two voluntary sector Trustee Boards. He is a global Board member of the International Association of Facilitators, and a member of the International Association for Public Participation.
Simon is learning facilitator for The Art and Science of Facilitation and Tackling difficulty issues by telephone or video conference.
Anna Mapley, Operations Manager
Anna is Operations Manager of Wilson Sherriff. She handles the logistics and organisational aspects of our projects. An experienced project manager, Anna works with our teams and clients to ensure that things run smoothly, to time and to budget.
Anna has a science degree and a teaching background, as well as being a trained facilitator able to join our facilitator teams where necessary.
